Seamstress

I bought a lovely raw silk blouse, Japanese style, years ago when I lived in LA. I bought it at the Barney's Hanger Sale at the Santa Monica airport...It was a strong red...Well, it has lasted many years but now, it is finished it's service to me.
I approached a local seamstress to ask her to make me a new one. She sent me off to find material. There is crazy cavernous "tissue" (fabric) store in Nice. I have been there before. I like to have things made cause I can't find them elsewhere.
They had very little raw silk.  I did find a very strong green roll and bought 3 meters of that...and wanted another so I found this oatmeal kind of scratchy fabric that you see here.
Here is the result of this material. I found these square buttons at a button store. Should be great for the fall. I wish she would take better care of the material. She has 2 kids and is crazed most of the time. I think she should have pressed this...but I thik it is lovely.
