Todays Saint...Pope under the emperor Hadrian...could not have been easy for him...died in 125 AD The3y (?) don't think he was martyred...
...He was the 7th Pope and ruled for 9-10 years....So interesting, these saints...everyone has a different story. A good learning experience for me.
I change the name a little for the photograph so it's not too religious as it will turn people off to them. After having been forced raised Catholic and then my great love of art history ( Italian Renaissance in this case) It's nice to be able to use some of it. I am interested in the stories, the iconography, the expression but not in a religious sense. TMI
