Walkies

 Had a nice slow walk up on Col de Vence. I strapped on a knee brace and used a walking stick...it was OK. I was hurting a bit at the end but I think it was the brace. What would usually take 2 hrs took 3 hours. It's very rocky but pretty much flat...some sun, some not. I bought a little portable stool...you see it here, the red disk. It telescopes out to any size you want. I was worried about getting back on my feet after getting down to take photos. It helped but I was ok...carrying too much stuff though. 

It was surprising that there was barely anything to photograph...The lovely heptica and a yellow blooming tree but it was pretty barren. It is still cold. 50 degrees! We have a drought going. It rained a little yesterday...It always says its gonna rain and it never does. I got a few good shots. It was just good to be out and in the wilds and also finding out I am getting better. Rune was super happy. He has had bad cabin fever. I think I have spoiled him with such great walks in the woods pre knee. I stayed close to trail today.
