This is right outside my gate and up the slippery slope...a beautiful group of poppies appeared for me to photograph. ...not easy though as it is on a hill. You can kind of see the little park above me ...a piece of property owned by a wealthy dude with a big rambling estate above ( I think he is or was the president of the bank of Luxembourg  and this is his vacation house). He just had some extra land that goes down into a neighborhood. I think he decided it might be better to just leave some blank space between his estate and his poor neighbors. Smart...It is a pretty little parc that anyone can hang out in with olive and fig trees...and oaks. They groom it constantly. The ground keeper lives there and has young boys that are allowed to run wild on the estate with a golf cart and huge lawnmower...a little dog often follows them. Everyone is happy and the owner breaths easy counting money in Luxembourg.

btw...I have been to Luxembourg. I flew in on a WW2 look see to Bastogne and The Ardennes to eventually end up in Bruges. I loved it there...very civilized...great food, nice people...worth a quick look. It is right on the border between Belgium and Germany.

Beautiful artichokes growing here too....such and interesting plant.
