The weather has given me 2 more days to get into the woods. ...low to mid 70's....but starting on Saturday the heat comes. This was Wednesday. We set off at 10. I leave a note in the car with my timing and where I was going. I also have an app to mark where my car is....but I was not going off trail in a place I don't know. This trail was called Pater Noster and was the trail I missed when I ended up on the sheep trail. This time I kept on straight, on the fire road into the woods. All below us, on the left were lovely wooded glades all horse trails...and they went for a long long way. It would be wonderful to ride a horse there..but for us, we ran from shade to shade...the road was rough on Rune's feet...sharp rocks. I came to a cross roads of sorts..There were 3 possibilities...straight ahead, back from where we came from and a steep uphill to the right....but nothing for straight ahead...I did not want to go uphill as the trail I had been on had been a steady uphill...so, we went straight.

Here is the trail, in the distance, that I should have taken. |

way off track here. No reception so I did nopt trust what maps was telling me. I think I would have ended up way north but I'm really not sure...still. |

One of our shady stops. |

this was back from where we came. |

This was straight uphill. You see the straight ahead I took...no sign, no markings...a major path! |
