| we parked there yo see the green and black. You can see Coursegoules just above. We went to the right at the crossroads and it is a steady uphill till you get to the first place you take a left. That's about 4 miles. I have taken this trail before and forgot how much I hated the uphill but I am getting stronger on these walks so not so bad...it was a little too hot for Rune and there were a million ticks and long flies. We would go from shade to shade and I would do an inspection...I would have to chase off ticks that were not willing to go... There was lots of fog and I love fog. We did run into Patou what were guarding goats! I love goats. I could hear their bells, but the Patou ( Grand Pyrenese) confronted us...I had Rune on the leash and I had a walking stick...when I waved the stick, they backed off but it took about 20 minutes to get past to them.... |
