I might have had an incident...

Today was a rainy day...I went to Volterra, more on that...I am seeking out obscure backroads. On the way back, I got on a small road with cyprees trees to the left and it was spritzing...There were water drops filling the air. ...I pulled over to shoot , the side  of the road was deceptive..it was deep...oh no...I pulled forward no go, I backed up, no go. I knew not to get myself too dug in ( from experience)...However, I am in Italy! I knew I would get help...2 women stopped..one 80 year old and the other about 50..if they could, they would have lifted the car for me...they both got out and looked. We all agreed, a man would come along and help me...They were so nice..no english but we understood each other. I saw a big white delivery van coming and I flagged his down...of course he stopped and tried t help but better yet, a massive tractor  arrived. Big red and ready for business. The man was so nice...big and tall and ready to help. They decided that the car needed to be hauled out from the rear by a hitch..there was a hitch in the trunk. Meanwhile, the owner of the property arrived asking me in Italian...what the hell did you do???? He took a look at the problem and discussed it with th tractor guy. I thought he was just bringing a chain to hook up to the car and pull it out...but I was mistaken ( I don't speak Italian)...A few minutes later a big blue backhoe arrived..
These men were loving this...The property owner and another man arrived and the red tractor man hooked up the car and they yanked me out! The owner was incredulous! Amuzed for sure...I told him, I am not french, I am American...He seemed to say, the backhoe driver thought you were french and was thinking twice about helping....no no, I am American!...All in all, I was stuck for about 20 minutes...The first people that came on the scene helped me. If I was in Fra, I am not sure anyone would help me.
If you follow my blog you know this is not the first time this happenned.  Got to e more careful.
