Some things

Did you know that mostly, in this area, people do not have clothes dryers. Most everyone but the wealthy hang their clothes out to dry. I am used to this now and have grown to prefer air dried sheets and clothes. You have to plan when your going to wash clothes as if it a rainy day its a no go.

Today, I thought the rain would just flirt with us and it did for all of the morning. I did a wash and hung it on the line...I also unearthed the winter quilt and put it outside to air as it was washed in early spring and packed...

I skipped out to do many errands. I was at the supermarket and the cashier asked me if I had an umbrella...I am always thrown when someone speaks to me about something out of the blue in french...It was pouring out all of a sudden... I heard parapluie and I knew she was asking me if I had an umbrella...

No need to rush home..all the sheets and clothes were soaked. I had brought a few things in including the big comforter...but, do I rewash what is on the line? We are not having sand in the rain from the Sahara.. Tomorrow will be sunny...

Funny driving ways here. In any parking lot situation all driving rules are suspended. I have learned to drive like this now...No matter if there are arrows or signs that designate a direction, NO one respects it. If you see a parking spot...or when looking for one....no rules apply. Myself, I am an offender too...why not.

The thing that is scary is that if you are backing out of a parking spot, any car that decided to come down your lane will not stop...they zip right by and you slam on the brakes. I'm so careful...look left, right, behind, go super slow and suddenly a car comes flying past...so odd but now expected.

It's like, in the parking lots, people can have all the anarchy that they can't have on the roads.

I am leery of the mushrooms here now..but at the supermarket today I saw these huge white mushrooms from Poland...just regular mushrooms. I bought those...they were delicious. I love that you know where what you buy comes from here  and...I so want to go to Poland...always have but it is not so easy to get there from here.
