I wish this exhibit was longer. It seemed short, but really beautiful and inspirational. I loved the short film they had showing her working and taking about her work. She often did not use gesso and did spill paint and work with sponges...she employed many techniques but I liked what she said about being blocked....see next post.

Helen Frankenthaler...a color field painter who was active in the 50's-80's...contemporary of Rothko.
