I have been here! Can you believe it? On my full day snorkelling trip when in western Sicily, we stopped at this island for lunch. It is tiny! I was there in late May, the water was cold...but I had to go in many times....just dive in and deal with it...There was not much reward in the way of snorkelling as there was really nothing to see, but it was great being out in the sea, in the sun off of Sicily. Now, I need to do the eastern side of Sicily.
