The dentist and the little thief.

He's a nice guy....he took over for my original dentist ( who was Dutch)...this Dr. is French but speaks perfect english...he would have to to take over the practice...It's quite the shift but this dentist is the MOST noninvasive dentist I have ever had....he told me today that my dental hygiene was excellent....

The only other thing I would say about him is that in the waiting room, there are only magazines about all things motorcycle...Luckily, I rarely have to wait...and he collects (what I think are) Manga motorcycle riding plastic dolls, like Trolls, but more intense. They are little devils. He has a few of them...all about 8" high...menacing...

I think he is still partially a kid. ...a big kid.

speaking of kids...

I was at the supermarket in self checkout. You have the option to use the "gun" to scan items and I take the opportunity to use the gun ( I think I am the only one) ...who knows why I derive pleasure from this. I would like to work at a supermarket checkout ( not self..that is a different set of skills)  just for a few hours just to see all the people and what they buy...I think it's fascinating...but that's me...crazy ideas.

So , I am scanning away with the gun...very close to me is another machine with a grandmother and a very devious little creature. She was very very stressed. I could tell that she just needed to urgently get a few things and get the hell out as the kid was hellish. He was a little boy at the age of 5 or 6...maybe younger cause...shouldn't he be in school???? I am sure his parents are out there working on some menial jobs and the grandmother is tasked with watching the little demon. I felt sorry for her but I appreciated his curiosity.

He kept taking things out of my "scanned" area and it would make my machine go crazy. He was small, dressed in dark layers as it is cold. . He would grab a potato and the scale would go crazy...the grandmother would scold...I had a wood crate that we use for the wood stove ( it begins as a container for veg but there is a scramble to get them for the fire as they are very thin wood and go nicely into the wood stove.)  This boy was determined to break mine...he kept leaning on it, hard...then he grabbed hummus out of my scanned area and...IF YOU CAN BELIEVE IT! put the little container of Hummus into his grandmothers pocket and started to zip it up...she was so frantic and stressed that she didn't even feel it....I said ..." uhhhh Madame, you have a container of hummus in your pocket"...of course in French....She was astounded ..but maybe not all that astounded...the little devil was laughing...he knew it was wrong.

I found it amusing as he was so young yet so devious...I had many thoughts...

He was temporarily a little thief but he was testing his boundaries...I hope he will get some guidance and direction but I doubt it.

I saw them in the parking lot...the woman could not get him into the car and was freaking out....I feel bad for her...
