I went looking in Vence, my town, and found this comfortable place. It was good enough as I wanted to just sit and read , have a beer and a pizza. I ordered the Blanche Reign...The white queen. I don't like tomatoes . I prefer a white pizza and the white queen is with ham and mushrooms.
It was thin crust and pretty good. I can only eat half.
In France they give you an olive oil mix with herbs and pepper. I am got very very ill in Sardinia from this mix ( major food poising, I will never forget it!!) ...isn't it possible just to have pepper flakes? I tried it this time. It was very good but I prefer no.
I also tried Fada beer. ..it was way too sweet for me. Like a Hefeweizen with a lemon in it.

I like beer....and in europe there are so many kinds.
It was kind of quiet in Vence today...In August, all of France empties out and goes on vacation. I wandered around the village and saw many many tourists eating mussels and frites...it just seems inappropriate for this time of year. People think ...you go to France, you must eat mussels and fries.
Eat Steak Tartare and frites if you want to be authentic. That's my favorite.
