I've been trying to throw out or donate as much as I can before I move. I had 2 big bags of dog blankets and sheets and I thought I would bring them to the local dog shelter. I knew where it was but I had no idea that you really needed a mule to get there. It was emotional for me as I really can't to get another dog, a small one, yet. I need to move first. I was hoping not to see any doggies...but I did, but they were all big and vicious looking...not a sensitive doggie that I would want to take into our home.
Anyway...on the way back, on this narrow road that you hope no one is coming the other direction, I came upon these 2 Porsches. I couldn't get through so I had to wait for them to do whatever they were going to do.
Living in this area and it being August, I know there are many tourists around that don't know how to drive here. This first Porsche took a right to get down this small alley, but he misjudged....boy did he.
I think this must have been the first time he had driven this car. The car behind was clueless as to the dilemma...I thought some man would get out and solve the problem..it took me bolting out of the car to get any action.
I had to get out and STOP THEM! I couldn't bare them destroying the front of this beautiful car. The whole front was right on the ground.
I got out and yelled STOP!...I made the hand motion...the car is on the ground in the front. Finally, the man in the car behind got out. I told him ( in english) He can't keep going forward, the car is scraping the ground....he's got to back up. The man was not expecting english. (They were Germans and I know he speaks english but was not expecting it)
It took him a minute to understand. I got back into my car and prepared to dosey-do to keep going ( you pull up to the right and I can pass)
As I waited, I could see dope #1 trying to back up...no go, spinning wheels, like a turtle stuck on a rock...I finally got past and I see 2 handsome beefy 20 somethings having a nice sporty run past me, in the direction of the car conundrum.
I thought...oh, problem solved...they were going to have to pick up the front of the turtle and push it back up onto the road...no other way out. Lucky them!
