The whole area is covered in these white rocks called Crottes....If your foot gets stuck, you can really get set back. Today, I had that happen and my back compensated...I saved my ankle but wrenched my back. I bring a knee brace and I use a walking stick which has saved me many times. Better safe than sorry.

This is our secret spot, ot I should say...this is the view from our secret spot. There is a little wall that we sit on where I put everything down and give Rune some water and I divvy out pieces of cheese...usually Bridelite that is in aluminum squares. We share the cheese. We've been doing this for years and Rune knows the spot where we stop. I love this spot...no sound, only birds and wind. You can see the Italian Alps in the distance. I've never seen anyone here. Rune even sits down!
