It was an incredible game.I've been watching hockey my entire life, with my father at RPI, at Canton at Plattsburgh and in Montreal. I was so happy that we won.
I had a hockey boyfriend at Plattsburgh for a while. I could not tell you his name. He wasn't the greatest...At the time, I was an assistant in the photo lab and in a Photo 1 class ( it all came easily to me even the developing chemistry stuff) . I think he was taking the class to fill a requirement and was failing miserably. ( not sure how you do that, probably lack of interest.) He was Canadian and was accepted at the school to mostly play hockey, defence I think. He was a big dumb guy, kind of surly but cute . I helped him in the class and in exchange he took me for many rides in the countryside in his fuschia colored brand new Corvette! ...great exchange for me as I love a nice car. I remember the car but not him.
I heard a funny phrase while watching the hockey game...They were talking about one US player that was always starting fights. He had walked right up to the Canadian bench and was yelling and arguing with the whole bench...
The announcer said...
"He could talk a postage stamp off an envelope."
meaning he could cause the whole opposing team on bench to jump out to fight.
