I read some new things that I did not know before including Julius Caesar had a cousin...or he proported to be...he was an eye doctor. He would have been Marius's grandson...This was BC so there is really no way to know. Caesar exiled him as he didn't want to deal with it.

There is a nice overview at the end of the book of all that befell Rome after Marius....This book is in the weeds and I found myself wondering hop I am so interested in it...It's not fiction...it's just the facts or what people believe to be true.

Marius turned out to be a bad bad man in the end hence, he is kind of lost in history to most people.
