You’d think I might have had some interesting boyfriends in these years…I had a few.
Then there was a certain famous rock stars brother in law. He was a model and really was devoid of personality. I think he also lived with his mother. That didn’t last. He did tell me that the rock star attempted to shoot an apple off his wife’s head with bow and arrow.
Then there was a french guy, Philipe. He was very serious. I dated him for awhile but eventually he was too clingy and liked me too much. We went out to the beach in Far Rockaway one early summer day on the subway with his friend. He actually wore a speedo…that was the last straw for me. I broke up with him on the beach that day. I couldn’t wait! He was in tears…
I met my one and only husband ( to this date) at this time. He sure liked having access to fab parties that he could invite his friends to that featured fashion models. His friends were all nerdy white collar business guys from NJ…they all had girlfriends , but I invited them and they all had too much to drink and had a somewhat memorable time to take back on the train with them to NJ.
I met a fantastic man in Washington Square Park that was visiting from Sweden. He was with his friend Per…His name was Stephan. They were in NYC on a conference from some big company that had offices in Stockholm. I think it was Canon. They were staying at The Waldorf Astoria. We had such a great time going to restaurants, touring around NYC. He and I had an instant connection. We stayed in touch for years. He eventually got married. I think about him sometimes and wish I could find him ,still.
I did miss someone…
There was a drummer who was Italian, Marcello. He worked at the coolest cafe in the west village. I am sure it is still there as it is so old.. I can see him ion my mind because I still have his photo , 8x10 that he included with is resume. He was playing the drums. I think he was too controlling so that didn’t last.
I dated another drummer when I spent time in San Francisco before I moved there. He has been in contact in the last few months. He was Israeli and his name is David. He introduced me to lots of cool music, especially Bossa Nova which I love! I will include a song.I dated him for quite some time while I was still living in NYC. He was a cool guy but not for me in the end.
I flew out to somewhere around St Louis to meet him in the middle of nowhere. He and his friends were there doing I don’t know what. I had never been to that area before. My mind was blown by the vegetation and insects…everything seems to be growing at double speed…it was very strange to me. I realize I am super sensitive to that type of thing …just walking down the sidewalk in a neighborhood was a trip for me. It is strange the things I remember…that was the end of him after that trip.I think this was when I was divorced or separated.
I am sure I am missing someone…
