We figured the crowds were due to it being a long weekend in Italy...We ran to get there as the light was going...my phone told me 1K through streets filled with people, strollers, dogs, costumes, scooters, bikes, ...you name it...I reminded myself why I like to get out relly early in the morning to go to exhibits and to photograph as the crowds come later. There is a fabulous Naval Museum in Pisa that we thought about going to but it was getting late and I would have wanted to really spend some time there. It is naval vessels of the roman empire...just in my alley...so, I will get there next trip and go early...but it was empty when we looked in.
