I signed up for a Ex Pat event on Wednesday...BOWLING! The big expensive mall close to my house opened a big game venue recently. There used to be the fancy smancy department store, Printemps, It was empty all of the time, over priced, just silly. So they finally closed the old dinosaur and recently opened this gaming center. When I saw the event, I thought, I can do that.
I know my bowling talent. I am good for about 5 throws and then it's the gutter every time....It never fails to happen. Today I went and looked at the lanes. Since I will know no one, it helps me to look at the venue ahead of time...There is a lot of lounge and a big bar...loud music and it's neon colored and dark.
This is a good environment for me.Upstairs, there is a race track and a laser room where you
hide and shoot each other with lasers. Typical of me, I march myself right in and chat up the young 20 somethings that are manning the various stations. I get the place...lots of neon and loud music...it's fun especially for kids. I will report on the event after it happens...What will I wear? I will have to change into bowling shoes...probably jeans.
